Sure, It Feels Like a Scuba Suit, But I Wouldn't Take Your Laptop Swimming
Product: Laptop Sleeve 17" - Fiery Orange Manufacturer: Built NY Price: $40.00 For those times when you need to protect your laptop, but you don't want to haul round a big heavy laptop bag - Built NY has the simple Laptop Sleeve to help you out. The sleeve is made of neoprene with a colorful outside and black inside. The zipper is plastic with a metal pull. It can hold up to a 17" laptop, as long as the machine isn't too thick. A Macbook Pro fits fine, where as our ASUS G2S did not fit in the sleeve.

Flawless... The site, GamePolitics.com has been going through records from federal courts for insights into Midway's financial meltdown. Boiling down that Midway claims $167,523,000 in assets versus $281,033,000 in liabilities. The list of Midway's 30 top heavy hitting creditors is staggering. Among these, Wells Fargo Bank has the most to lose as Midway owes them $150,000,000 from unsecured loans.

A Mouse or a Snake? On the last day of CES 2009, I got to sit down with Razor founder Robert Krakoff to talk about the new Razor Mamba.
The Mamba is Razor's first wireless mouse and the only wireless mouse created for hardcore gamers. As many of you know, gaming with wireless mice has never been a good idea. Due to the latency of the sensor, battery life, weight, and signal conflict, using wireless mice to play the most common PC games such as first-person shooters has always been a problem. However, after 8 years of research and development, Razor appears to have solved the latency issues in wireless mice.

Get Lost... and Damned!
Plenty of people are complaining about the price of The Lost and the Damned, though 20 bucks for up to 15 hours of new campaign sounds like a good deal to me. Rockstar is also offering a handful of new multiplayer modes, exclusive to the pack. Apart from Free Mode and Deathmatch, these modes are unique to The Lost and the Damned, which is good news for folks that are a little sick of running through Mafia over and over again.

We Have Nothing to Fear but a Pissed Off Neked Chick.
Title: F.E.A.R. Project Origin Publisher/Developer: Warner Bros. Interactive/Monolith Platform: PC, PS3, Xbox 360 Release Date: 02/10/2009 Number of Players: Single player campaign/ 16 player Multiplayer As I set out to write this review (having stayed up till 4am to finish the game) I find myself still a bit torn. Did I like this game or not? Well, obviously that’s always a question in mind of a review writer, but I find myself unable to fully answer that question. I think it may be due, in part, to my expectations and, perhaps, my recollection of the previous title (yes, I am ignoring a certain titles which were NOT F.E.A.R.). The other part that may be interfering with my clear view of FEAR 2 is that I have been inundated with horror titles over the last year.

... all at the same time!
Jack Thompson is back again! This time, far too close to me here in Vegas. His new Utah Game Ammendment is making press already. And while I agree with him on the point of enforcing ESRB restrictions at the retail level, he pretty much goes on to ruin any credibility he had left by sticking his foot so far into his mouth that he can taste his own kneecap. If you're bored and want to subject yourself to some more Thompsonisms, read the G4TV review here. If you really just don't want to read the whole thing, let me quote my favourite part just for litte ol' you: "By the way, I helped drive Take-Two's stock down from $27 (when I sold mine), down to $8. I'm obviously way smarter than the idiots running Take-Two." Now if you will pardon me, I need to fill up the gas tank so I can actually make the drive around Jack's ego.

Dammit, I Am Agreeing with Adam Again!
This week Adam posts his Soapbox gripe about multiplayer. For those of you who've been following GTW for a while, this arguement might sound familiar. That would probably be because of this article. Click on to listen to what Adam has to say, read our editorial here, then come let us know how you feel about the issue.

Game Review - Metal Gear Solid 4 |

Snake? Snake?! Snaaaaake?!
Title: Metal Gear Solid 4 Publisher/Developer: Konami/Kojima Productions Platform: Playstation 3 Release Date: 06-12-2008 Number of Players: Single-Player (MGS4)/ 16 Online (MGO) Looking back again at the goodies we received as gamers in 2008, I can’t look past Metal Gear Solid 4, no matter how much I try. I never did get around to writing a first review and for that I have shamed myself. Hopefully, I can rectify that today. Where to even begin on what has to be one of the grandest, most epic scale games I have ever had the grace of playing? 20 years of Metal Gear. I remember my 8-bit, glory days. In fact, I’d would say that some my earliest gaming memories entail Metal Gear. I am not sure I will be able to keep this review to my characteristically short review form (that was sarcasm). Every so often a game so huge, so massive, so ginormous comes about that there’s just no way getting around its grand details.

Sweeeeet Emulsion
Title: Gears of War 2 Publisher/Developer: Microsoft Games/Epic Games Platform: Xbox 360 Release Date: 11/07/2008 Number of Players: Single-player and Co-op Campaign/ 10 players Online You already know how this will end… Yeah, the commercials for this bad-boy are still stuck in my head. Rightfully so, too, given that I am still playing the hell out of Gears 2 to this very date (yes, I am an achievement monger so working for “Seriously” and “Party Like It’s 1999” are some achievements that take a little time). As I look back on 2008 I am taking the time to re-review some games that have already been covered by some of our other writers. When it came to First Person Shooter sequels for 2008, two were high on my list. I will cover the second one in another article. Suffice it to say, Gears 2 was one of them. So what are Marcus and Dom up to theses days? Well, I will tell you that whatever they are up to, they are up to their necks in it.
